PFV Prize #FamilyIsSustainability: Cartografica Visceglia finalist

 (0)    0

Cartografica Visceglia is one of the five finalist companies for the third edition of PFV Prize #FamilyIsSustainability, the award organized by Primum Familiae Vini, the association of twelve large family wine-growing properties, such as Marchesi Antinori, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Joseph Drouhin, Domaine Clarence Dillon, Egon Müller Scharzhof, Famille Hugel, Pol Roger, Famille Perrin, Symington Family Estates, Tenuta San Guido, Familia Torres and Vega Sicilia.

The association was founded in 1993 by Miguel Torres and Robert Drouhin, with the objectives of bringing together some of the best wine-producing families, celebrating their long tradition and allowing an exchange of information between the different realities.

In 2020, the members created the prize of the same name: it is an annual contribution worth €100,000, to which family businesses operating in different sectors contribute, whose main values lie in craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability.

As stated by Véronique Drouhin, of Maison Joseph Drouhin, winemakers in Burgundy since 1880 and President of PFV:

“Since we created the award in 2020, we have been won over by the wonderful companies who send us their entries. Meeting the winners is much more than just an awards ceremony; it is a rewarding and inspiring experience for all PFV members. Once again this year, the independent family businesses from which we received nominations are all engaged in magnificent projects. We have selected five who have particularly stood out for having successfully guided their family businesses through several generations, maintaining a positive dynamic and focused values on people by aiming for uncompromising excellence in their sphere of activity. These values are dear to us at PFV, and we are committed to encouraging them."

Through this award, PFV is therefore committed to ensuring that family-run businesses are aware of their social role and incentivize change according to a sustainable business model.

Thanks to its history of tradition and innovation, Visceglia was selected together with four other companies - Hosoo Co., Ltd, Tsutsumi Asakichi Urushi, John Stevens Shop, Bianco Bianchi - for the PFV Prize.

The selection represents another important goal achieved and a recognition of over 90 years of activity, "born from a great love for terrestrial physics and therefore for geographical maps". It represents a step forward into the future and inspires us to push the boundaries of innovation, without forgetting tradition.
